With the arrival of spring, CBE’s Tree of Life—Etz Haim has been polished and “replanted” on the wall outside the sanctuary thanks to the efforts of CBE volunteers (Bob & Deena Ferrara, Denis & Linda Friedman, Matt Kontoff, and Debbie & Jeff Wesson). This beautifully crafted tree surrounded by brass leaves and rocks provides us with the opportunity to celebrate a lifecycle event while helping our synagogue grow and thrive.
If you would like to celebrate or mark a past or future lifecycle event, such a Bar or Bat Mitzvah, wedding, birth of a child, graduation, award, or any other occasion or accomplishment, please download and complete this form. Thank you for supporting CBE!
CBE's New Director of Education and Community Engagement
We are thrilled to be welcoming Beth Goldstein as our CBE's Director of Education and Community Engagement beginning July 1st.
Beth has been a Jewish educator for more than ten years. She has taught students from kindergarten through high school, developed a K-7th grade religious school, created and implemented family education programs, collaborated on the development of a religious school curriculum, and been a soloist at several synagogues. Most recently Beth was the Director of Education at Beth El Temple Center in Belmont, MA.
A graduate of Brandeis University, Beth holds a Master of Arts in Jewish Education from Rhea Hirsch School of Education and a Master of Arts in Jewish Communal Service from the School of Jewish Communal Service. Beth believes her role as a Jewish Educator is to help each person find his or her own Jewish path while connecting to others in the community.
Thank you to the Religious School Director search committee (Jaymi Formaggio - Chair, Sue Abrams, Karen Brandstein, Heidi Lovitz, Lindsay Rosenman, Rabbi Mike, Neal Silverman, Randi Taylor, and Liz Walker) for all their hard work in finding an wonderful educator to lead our religious school.
